Subtle Makeup is the art of enhancing one’s natural beauty, boosting their confidence, all while still making them feel and look like themselves. This is what simple everyday makeup for Nigerians is about, giving you this subtle makeup look. This video in this tutorial will show you just that

Things You Need:

  • Moisturizer
  • Concealer
  • Primer
  • Foundation
  • Blush
  • Lipstick
  • Lip gloss
  • Mascara
  • Face Powder
  • Brow pencil

Exfoliate And Moisturize:

You need to exfoliate and moisturize first before applying any makeup. You can do this with a damp cloth or an exfoliation product. With a damp cloth, you massage your face with attention on those areas that may get dry. You can use a lip balm or Vaseline on the lips so that they wouldn’t dry out.

Prime-Time:

You can get your face prep with a primer that will support your makeup stay for a long time. Oil control can be handled by a primer.

Foundation:

A foundation brush will do the magic when you dab your foundation on your cheeks and chin, nose and forehead.  You can make use of tinted moisturizer/ BB cream/CC.  You should blend your foundation evenly without any sharp edge showing.  Also, your hairline and you shouldn’t look different.

Cover It All

You need to cover it all with your concealer. You can use your conceal before using your foundation or after you have used it. It depends on the intensity of your coverage. A transparent or translucent face power can be used to mattify the areas.

Blend With A Flush Of Color:

A Matte finish brush is needed for your natural look. You should apply this from your cheeks’ apple and then towards your temple.  To glow on the cheeks, make use of a blush-cum-highlighter.

Apply Mascara:

You should ensure that you get your lashes curl to give you an instant lift to the lashes. It opens up the eyes.  You should begin your mascara application by brushing the hair right from their roots and then wriggle the lashes to receive an instant volume.

Groom The Brows:

Your makeup cannot be complete if you don’t fill your brows.  The brow is what frame the face. This is the reason why you shouldn’t ignore to fill the brows. You can make use of a brow gel, pencil or an eye shadow to achieve this.

Apply Your Lipstick:

Finally, now that you are through with natural makeup,  you can give lips some flush of color.  This can be done with a lip gloss or lipstick in natural and fresh colors like nude, light pink and lots more to complement your look.

Best Natural Makeup Removal

My Makeup removal process is in 3 steps

Baby oil: There’s no clear proof that baby oil can be used to remove makeup. However, many people do this anecdotally. Because it’s considered safe to use, it probably won’t hurt you. However, if you have acne-prone skin, you’ll want to avoid putting baby oil on your face.
